FAQs – Lubes
This page contains some frequently asked questions about our Lube oils. If the information you are looking for is not here, you can contact us for further enquiries.
Lube (also called lubricant) is a substance that helps to reduce friction between surfaces in mutual contact, which ultimately reduces friction, heat, and wear between mechanical components that are in contact with each other. Motor oils or lubricants are specially formulated to protect vehicle engines and prolong them.

Engine oil, engine lubricant or motor oil is any one of various substances used for the lubrication of internal combustion engines. They typically consist of base oils enhanced with various additives, particularly anti-wear additives, detergents, dispersants, and, for multi-grade oils, viscosity index improvers.
Generally, there are four types engine oils, which are:
- Conventional or Mineral Oil
- Synthetic Oil
- Synthetic Blends
- High Mileage Oil
We produce both synthetic and mineral oils. Our products provide great protection for all vehicle engines. They produce stronger power and smooth feeling. Synthetic oils flow easier in cold weather, therefore no loss of prime when the oil is cold. Also, they are highly resistant to viscosity breakdown (the ability of the oil to flow easily in all temperatures) from heat, friction, chemical contaminants.
Some used to believe that synthetic oils cause seals and gaskets to burn. At the onset that was true. Modern synthetic oils have been properly engineered to improve performance, lower fuel consumption and increase the longevity of engines.
You have no reason to fear for your vehicle engine.

Mineral oils are of good quality and they lower cost compared to synthetic oils because they do not undergo complex chemical transformation. However, they flow through engines slowly which results in increased fuel consumption and impacted vehicle performance. Mineral oils also need to be changed more frequently than synthetic oils.
We currently produce the following grades:
- 2T: a special type of motor oil intended for use in crankcase compression two-stroke engines (typical of small gasoline-powered engines).
- 15W-40: a common grade, superior quality and heavy-duty diesel engine oil that can serve both turbocharged and normally aspirated engines.
- 20W-50: a common motor oil used in moderate-to-large diesel and gasoline engines, high-performance motorcycle bikes, and aviation vehicles. Its resistance to thinning at high heat also makes it popular as a racing oil and high temperature driving.
- HD-40: a performance heavy duty engine oil mainly intended for gasoline automotive engines of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and farm equipment. Alternatively, it can be used in diesel engines of commercial vehicles and contractor equipment.
- HD-50: a heavy-duty engine oil primarily intended for use in gasoline automotive engines of passenger cars, commercial vehicles and farm equipment.
- AW-68: a formulated and specially selected base oils with a superior additive treatment for use in all kinds of hydraulic systems running under the most difficult conditions.

Read the manual specifications of your vehicle’s engine to know the right type of oil best for your engine.
It is important that you choose the recommended oil specification for your engine. If your engine requires a moderate viscous oil do not use oil with high viscosity as it may reduce the performance of your engine and ultimately lead to void of your warranty.

There are many factors to consider when it comes how often you should change your engine oil, such as:
- How often your drive your vehicle.
- The speed you often drive.
- The mileage you drive your vehicle.
- The temperature of your area.
- How dusty your area is.
- The colour of your exhaust fumes, a good engine with clean oil should not produce smoke.
Vehicle oils get darken when exposed to high temperatures and as it absorbs byproducts from the result of combustion.
It is normal for engine oils to darken after a period of time and depending on how you use the engine. Always consider. You should consider changing your oil if the oil has gotten too dark.
