Our History
Founded in 1980, BOVAS Group has grown from its roots as an independent petroleum marketing company into a leading force in the Nigerian energy landscape. The story of BOVAS is one of entrepreneurial spirit, unwavering commitment to quality, and a deep-rooted dedication to serving the community.
The journey began with Dr. Victoria Adunola Samson, Managing Director of BOVAS Group. As a dealer under Texaco Nigeria Ltd. (now MRS Plc), Dr. Samson’s exceptional sales performance and innovative marketing strategies earned her the prestigious Texaco Plc. Best Dealer Award for the Latin American/West African Region. This groundbreaking achievement marked her as the first Nigerian to attain such recognition, setting the stage for BOVAS’s future success.
In 1991, BOVAS opened its first service station in Oshogbo, Osun State, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history. Since then, BOVAS has expanded its operations significantly, establishing a strong presence across Nigeria.
